Studio Sweet & Sour - NEW AW17 VELVET!

Check out the amazing new collection from Studio Sweet & Sour. Capturing all this season's must have trends including: blush pink, dark green, velvet and tropical prints. Adding to this new collection a series of new shaped make up bags which a slim line big enough to hold your make up brushes as well as the slightly larger coin purse. These are made from soft luxurious velvet and come in two colours. To match these the brand has extended the velvet offer with three new notebooks - A4 Pink, A5 Purple and A6 Green. All these notebooks offer different inner pages with ombre pattern and a peek of the tropical palm prints.

To tie the whole collection together they have introduced a beautiful tropical palm print to their saffiano style make up bags and desk planner. This green, cream and pink print matches perfect with new items as well as their existing pink cadillac print.

Why we still love copper!

Fashion trends, like anything these days, constantly changes and adapts to the outside consumer. Whether it be huge trends like flares in the 1970s or fidget spinners in the 2010s fashion, beauty, interior and gadgets change. But we are trying to cling on to one particular trend - copper!

It seems like it was like a whirlwind romance with copper and marble where you would see it on every street corner and in every living room. We're not complaining we loved it! This beautiful rose gold tone creates a certain elegance to products in a way that I don't think silver or gold can achieve. The complimentary palettes are endless with copper looking great with dark charcoal all the way up to blushing pink there's not much that doesn't go with this heavenly hue.

Hooray for cactususes...cacti?

Here at Oli Olsen HQ we are succulents for a cactus or two! (see what we did there?) They are dotted around our office like little spiky friends that add a bit of colour to the room but also say "Don't mess with us!"

The perfectly prickly pears were the inspiration taken by artist Eva Newton on creating the Goodnight Light Cactus Lamp. The plant in question was the Nopal Cactus whose vivid flowers and colourful form breaks up even the dustiest plains of Mexico.

These spiky pieces are made from shatterproof vinyl that has been intricately moulded to resemble Eva's sketches and pay homage to the real thing. This eco friendly lamp uses LED technology which means it doesn't emit heat and can last thousands of hours. They omit a wonderful warming glow across the room to create a soothing and relaxing atmosphere. It comes in 4 colours - pale green, tropical green, mint green and white.
