Balvi’s brilliant sushi roll cushion and blanket is a soft plush throw that rolls up into a salmon maki. The outer layer is deep black with a fluffy, textured finish like nori, held by a smooth black band. At the open end, a ring of white rice frames a spiral of orange salmon with pale white striping, finished with a lime-green centre. The plush fabric is made for sofa evenings and bedroom lounging. Rolled up, it works as a quirky cushion and display piece; unrolled, it becomes a snug blanket for one.
